Muhammad al-Yaqoubi The Sufi: A Christian Lady Was Saved by Invoking The Prophet ﷺ Who Cured Her!

Muhammad al-Yaqoubi is a very influential Sufi preacher in the Western hemisphere, particularly in the English-speaking world. As a typical Sufi Molvi,  he has his good share of stories in which Ghuluw practices (such as invoking the saints directly, especially in times of hardship!) are endorsed and propagated to the gullible (under the pretext that the saints can perform Karamat and Mu’jizat even after their demise. As if this somehow justifies invoking the saints directly in the essence of worship that is Du’a, something that Islam has never endorsed, whether the saint is dead or alive).

Therefore, it is now totally fine for me to directly invoke (completely bypassing Allah) an endless list of saints/Ahlul-Bayt/pirs/ for the fulfillment of all my needs and wishes.
Having said that: Ya Ali/Hussain/Jilani, etc., etc. madad!”

‘Shaykh’ ‘al-Sharif’ ‘al-Sayyid’ Muhammad al-Hasan ibn ‘Alawi ibn Abbas ibn Abd al-Aziz al-Maliki al-Hasani al-Idrisi al-Makki (1944–2004) was a Saudi (of Moroccan descent) Sufi cleric hailing from one of the most influential Sufi clans (who infamous for their Shia traits) in the Hijaz region. His entire family of al-Maliki follows the batini quburi Shadhiliyah Sufi order.

Muhammad ibn ‘Alawi was born and raised in Makkah al-Mukarramah and is considered as one of the foremost Sufi-Ash’ari authorities of batini mystical Sufism of contemporary times.

Ahmad Raza Khan Barelvi (1856 CE/1272 AH – 1921 CE/1340 AH) is the grand guru and founding father of one of the largest Sufi movements in the Indian subcontinent, who identify themselves as traditional Sunnis (‘Ahle Sunnat’). Fondly referred to as ‘Aala Hazrat’ (The Most Honourable) by his devotees, he was born in Bareilly, North-Western Provinces, British India. Today, his final resting place has transformed into a ‘sacred’ shrine adorned with a  mausoleum.

Siavash is a prince in the Shahnameh, a legendary Persian prince from the earliest days of the Persian Empire. He was a son of Kay Kavoos, then Shah of Iran, and due to the treason of his stepmother, Soodabeh (with whom he refused to have a relation and betray his father), exiled himself to Turan where he was killed innocently by order of The Turanian king Afrasiab. He was later avenged by his son Kai Khosrau. He is a symbol of innocence in Persian Literature.

One of the excuses that the extremists (ghulat) from amongst the mystic Sufis and Rafidah employ in order to justify their heresies, is the claim that their blatant kufriyat are merely metaphors, poetry, etc. With these excuses, almost everything can be justified and has been justified and attributed to the Prophet (ﷺ), his Ahlul-Bayt, and the rest of the Awliya under the pretext of ‘loving and honouring them.’ With such excuses, the Rafidah and Mutasawwifah even justify referring to themselves as dogs (i.e. as in being loyal) of their favourite shaykhs, imams, pirs, etc.

Sending salawat upon the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وصحبه وسلم) is from the greater deeds of ‘ibadah; and making it in abundance is among the reasons to attain immense goodness and invite blessings to oneself, as well as deterrence against evil and calamities. Sending salutations upon the Prophet (ﷺ) is to invoke Allah alone (as praying to anyone other than Allah is polytheism) to bless and raise the rank of the Prophet (ﷺ) even further.

A common scenary in ‘Islamic’ Iran: Shi’ites setting up altars with candles and images (Persianised and effaminite depictions of the Ahlul-Bayt) just like the polytheistic Catholics.

From Rafidi parts in Lebanon, to the heartland of Iran, names like Abdullah, Abdul-Rahim, Abdul-Razzaq etc. are only common in Sunni regions of those respected countries, in Shia regions you can barely find such names, yet there are plenty of: Abdol-Hossein, Abdol-Reza, Abdol-Amir (Ali b. Abi Talib), Abdol-Zahra (Fatimah), Abdol-Rasul, etc. names that the Ahlul-Bayt and their students never approved.

What are the four Maqamat?

During  (and before) Ottoman rule, for hundreds of years, daily prayers inside al-Masjid al-Haram in Makkah were conducted at different times according to the four most widely accepted Sunni Schools of jurisprudence (madhhab), and at four different locations of the Masjid. Each school of thought had basically its own Mihrab!

A hallmark of the Ahlul-Bid’ah (like the Rafidah and the Mutasawwifah) is that they rely on weak and fabricated reports. Once they are exhausted with that (after being refuted) they move onto the ‘but so-and-so great scholars said so’ appeal.
