Islamic/Sunni Hijamah VS Shia Hijamah

Islamic bloodletting or Islamic Wet Cupping Therapy – also known as Wet Cupping Therapy (WCT), Bloodletting Cupping (BLC) Therapy, Hijamah, – is an old therapeutic and medical technique to improve the natural immune system and cure several disorders, which differs from Chinese Cupping Therapies.

Islamic (wet) cupping creates a mild suction by leaving a cup in place of specific parts of the body for about 3 minutes. The therapist then removes the cup and uses small sterile scalpel blades to make light, tiny cuts on your skin. Next, they do a second suction to draw out blood. It basically rids the body of harmful pathogens by drawing out the excess blood lying dormant underneath the skin.

Hijamah is basically a complementary therapy (therapies that are used alongside conventional medicines or treatments) that was also practiced by the Prophet (ﷺ) and his Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) and the Muslims to this very day.

Islamic cupping in a nutshell:

A complementary therapy
Performed by an expert (therapist) on a patient
Expert uses medical equipment (small sterile scalpel blades, cups, etc.)
Not a religious ritual

Now, what if I told you that there are people out there who claim that the following…

…is basically the same as Islamic Hijamah! Would you take such a person seriously or put him in a straitjacket? Believe it or not, there are people out there who claim to be Muslims and attribute pagan self-flagellation rituals (that they have copied from the medieval Catholic Church and other pagans) to the Prophet (ﷺ) and his Household (Ahlul-Bayt) and demonise those who oppose them as ‘Nasibis/Nawasib’ (enemies of the Ahl al-Bayt).

A great and sound (based on Islamic principles) that has been attributed to Ali b. Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) said in the books of the Ahlul-Sunnah and the Shia is:

اُنظُر الي ما قالَ و لا تَنظُر الي مَن قالَ \ لا تنظر إلى من قال وانظر إلى ما قال

‘Look at what is being said, not who is saying it.’\’Do not look at who is saying, rather look at what is being said.’

With this wisdom in mind, whether those who disagree – or even hate and despise me – and those who are in agreement with me; everyone should put their bias aside and ask themselves: Can the following statements be uttered by a mentally fit human being, let alone a learned individual who claims to be a scholar of ‘pure’ Islam? You be the judge.

Now I’m going to present to you what the mentally deranged consider as Islamic bloodletting/Hijamah (consider your neighbours and don’t laugh at the pathetic ‘logic’ and ‘reason’ of this rejected rejectionist):

This is their great ‘scholar’ Yasser al-Habib and his level of reasoning! These are their ‘superior’ arguments and this is their ‘true’ Islam. Shall one feel sorry or laugh at those who have fallen for such a pagan charlatan (who is merely repeated what his seniors i.e. ‘Ayatollahs’ say)?

To further clarify how foolish his analogy is:

You will often find word analogies or verbal analogies (sometimes in job interviews) where you must show the relationship between two objects or concepts using logic and reasoning. These analogies are set up in a standard format. For example:

banana : yellow :: carrot : orange

Tawhid : Ahl al-Sunnah :: Shirk : Rafidah

These analogies are read aloud as:

Banana is to yellow, as carrot is to orange.

Tawhid is to Ahl al-Sunnah, as Shirk is to Rafidah.

As you can see, the analogies highlight the relationship between the objects (Banana and carrot) and concepts (Tawhid and Shirk).

On tests of logic, one portion of the analogy is left blank and students are left to choose an answer that makes sense to complete the comparison. For example:

According to Yasser al-Habib the following is a perfectly fine comparison:

Hijamah : Sunnah :: Self-flagellation : Sunnah

Hijamah (sterile cupping therapy applied to one by an expert) is to the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) as pagan self-flagellation with knives, blades, and swords is to the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)!

You see how deprived of logic these heretical Rawafid are?

But what can you expect from these people; Yasser al-Habib is the same person who due to his fetish for ghuluw and bizarre pagan rituals even defended cringe Shia Muharram rituals like the dressing up as a lion, which according to al-Habib is not a bid’ah as it has a history of few decades *facepalm*.

The charlatan Yasser al-Habib is the same person (who like many Shia clerics throughout history) claims that none other but the mythical hidden Shia ‘imam’ (‘Mahdi’) condoned the savage and pagan practice of self-harming/self-flagellation with swords, knives, blades, etc.

Of course, the non-guiding ‘Mahdi’ conveniently met an Iranian Shia ‘Ayatollah’ in private and passed the verdict (fatwa) that Tatbir is permissible and even recommended! Khomeinists claim the mythical Mahdi guides Khamenei in secret meetings, the Shirazists claim similar khurafat, each charlatan ‘Ayatollah’ mafia clan makes such statements in order to impress the weak-minded and the gullible.

And here is another mentally deranged spawn of Rafidism, a student of Yasser al-Habib, one of their ‘learned’ ones who in his sheer stupidity compares a sport (that is arguably haram anyway) with a religious rituals that the Rafidah have copied from polytheistic Catholics.

This foolish individual doesn’t understand that it is not about how ‘deep’ the cuts are or how ‘fast’ something heals. Chanting religious slogans whilst smacking oneself with sharp utensils such as blades is a hideous bid’ah (heresies) that crosses every boundary set by Islam, in fact, it is more extreme than the rituals of the pagans in the Jahiliyyah.

Now they compare their savagery to boxing and UFC fights! What they don’t understand is that two wrongs don’t make a right. Sports that aim to hit the face (especially without protection) are not Islam-conform, much less pagan-jahili self-flagellation rituals where one purposely hits/whips/slaps, etc. his ownself. The latter is actually worse as it’s done on purpose on oneself (!) and in the name of Islam and the Ahl al-Bayt. To add more points:

In martial arts, one tries his utmost not to get hit and hurt. One’s priority is to avoid getting cuts. In contrast, Rafidis literally cut themselves in a previously organised pagan and cultish mass-ritual spreading all sorts of diseases that are medically proven to be associated whenever blood is spilled.
Martial art fighters don’t attribute their violent sports to Islam and the Ahl al-Bayt and claim that they are performing a religious act. That alone makes the acts of the Rawafid a zillion times worse as they have introduced these pagan and extreme rituals to Islam in the name of mourning.
Theory (small cuts) is worthless if in actual common practice this act is known to be practiced by large groups who spill blood in the air and like possessed individuals self-flagellate and spill (najis) blood right next to shrines and places of worship (that Rafidah cover with plastic). Better stick to comparing that pagan savagery to Hijamah.

Yasser al-Habib’s and his ilk’s flawed and false comparisons are superficial, misleading and laughable. His likes are trying to justify a savage pagan ritual such as Tatbir with shaytanic qiyas, claiming that it’s basically Hijamah. If this (laughable comparison) was the only deception of Yasser al-Habib – his lies and calamities are many – it would suffice any person of intellect to see through this charlatan and his savage and pagan nature and enmity towards Islam and the Ahlul-Bayt (to whom he ascribes all his paganism and heresies). And know, that this was just the tip of the iceberg or as the Arabs say:

Millions upon millions practice this savage and pagan Shia ritual of self-flagellation.
