Interview with the grandson of the Ex-Shia Ayatollah Borqei

Here a recording where I interviewed a good old friend of mine who is none other than the grandson of Ex-Shia Grand Ayatollah Abul-Fadhl Borqei (may Allah have mercy upon him). This is an exclusive interview for the first time in the English language about his (brother Mohsin, the grandson) grandfather’s fascinating life and how he left Twelver Shiism, started refuting it and his own previous Shia works, as well as translating Ibn Taymiyyah’s devastating refutation of Twelver Shiism- Minhaj as-Sunnah to Farsi, his harassment by the Iranian regime and much more. Don’t miss it!

Answering a repeated question:

Did Borqei accepted Sunnism or did he rejected some elements of Twelver Shi’ism like other Shia reformists?

Response: Borqei preferred the title Muslim over any other title. It is not about titles, however, the clearly stated repeatedly in his books and tapes (all still available) that there is no path to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) except through the Salaf, particularly the Muhajrihun and Ansar from among the Sahabah (as instructed per Qur’an). This is a pure Sunni creed, no matter what anyone wants to call it.

Borqei even has a lecture in defense of Shaykh Muhammad ibn Abdul-Wahhab and his da’wah. According to Rafidis and others that would make him not just a Sunni but a ‘Wahhabi’ (Salafi)!

Besides, Borqei has utterly destroyed Imami Rafidi Shi’ism, his beliefs are Sunni-Salafi and he was a fallible man and like all scholars, he erred as well, but overall he was a Sunni-Salafi who preferred the title Muslim (even I prefer the title Muslim and only use Sunni in specific contexts). Every person with intellect just needs to check the titles of his books and read through them to understand that Borqei is what Rafidis call a ‘Wahhabi-Sunni’.

Books such as:

The Abridged version of Minhaj al-Sunnah by Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah – Borqei has been the first Persian speaker in the world that translated Minhaj al-Sunnah (in which Ibn Taymiyyah destroys Rafidism/Imamism) into the Persian language. Out of all people in the world, an Iranian Ex-Shia Ayatollah translated that book.

Superstitions surrounding the visitation of graves (Ex-Shia Ayatullah Abul-Fadhl Borqei) – In it, he refutes Sufi and Rafidi pagan Ziyarah rituals and prayers.

Permissible and forbidden actions when visiting the Prophet’s (S) grave – In it, he refutes Sufi and Rafidi pagan Ziyarah rituals and prayers.

He wrote numerous other books, including Kasr al-Sanam (destroying the idol), a reference to the book of Kufr and Zandaqah that is al-Kafi by al-Kulayni. He wrote an entire book in the refutation of the mainstream Shia du’a book of shirk i.e. Mafatih al-Jinan.

All his books are available on the website dedicated to him (www.borqei.com) and on the largest Persian Sunni online library worldwide (www.aqeedeh.com).

May Allah have mercy on Borqei.
