How lunatics ‘discover’ the name of Ali ibn Abi Talib in the Quran

What do you do when you find yourself in a dilemma, belonging to a dubious sect that, in the name of Islam, has been absurdly exaggerating (ghuluw) so much about your favourite saint, the so-called ‘infallible Imam’, to the point of claiming that this ‘infallible’ is even superior to the mightiest prophets — yet you fail to provide a single verse in the Quran clearly mentioning this alleged infallible Imam?

The solution is simple:

you impose your heretical belief (Imamat) onto the verses of the sacred text and even claim that the Quran primarily revolves around the ‘infallible Imam’, asserting that he is explicitly mentioned numerous times in the final revelation!

All of this is made possible through heretical esoteric (batini) ‘interpretations’ (distortions) of the noble Quran in the name of the Ahl al-Bayt.

The Rafidi Shia ‘proof’ (spoof)

Rafidah: "We read in SUNNI hadith reported by ESTEEMED Sunni scholars that 300 verses were revealed concerning Imam Ali (SWT) in the Quran! This is narrated by the very great SAHABAH Ibn Abbas!"

نزلت في علي ثلاث مئة آية

"300 verses were revealed concerning "Ali."

Response: Fear Allah, stop embarrassing yourself. The narration is literally a FABRICATION and thus included in books specifically compiled for FABRICATED reports. For example, this very narration is mentioned as a fabrication by Ibn al-Jawzi in his 'Al-Mawdu'at' (one of the most famous collections of invented Hadiths falsely attributed to the Messenger of Allah).

The primary verse (yes, there are other verses too which they claim mention Ali clearly!) that the Rafidah (mis)use to make the ludicrous claim that Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) has been explicitly mentioned in the noble Quran is the following one in surah Maryam:

And We bestowed of Our Mercy on them, and We granted them high (Aliyya) honour on the tongue of truth.” (Quran 19:50)

For a starter, the term ‘Aliyya’ (high/loftiness/exalted) in the verse is not a proper noun; it is an adjective. In other words, it does not refer to a single individual, let alone to the cousin of the Prophet (ﷺ). One doesn’t even need a tafsir work to comprehend that the verse speaks about a line of Prophets (not alleged ‘infallible Imams’) like Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) and his children.

It is the exalted (‘Aliyya’) and noble tongue of truth that Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) and his children attained as an honour and blessing from Allah — a reward for their truthfulness and patience in rejecting polytheism (shirk) and upholding monotheism (tawhid), something that the Rafidah are known to have miserably failed to achieve.

The verse implies that Allah has bestowed upon them His blessings and high renown, as even the Ahl al-Kitab praise them, a point succinctly and accurately affirmed by Sunni exegesis.

The concise and apt Sunni tafsir (exegesis)

Here is an authentic tafsir from an actual member of the Banu Hashim (not some shady Iranian ‘Syed’)—a companion, a sage of the Ummah, the one who received prophetic praise for his knowledge, and whose tafsir is in line with the Arabic language (something top Twelver authorities fail to master) and the theme of the surah and its verses:

Yes, it is that simple. The truth is that simple, and the falsehood of Imamism/Twelverism/Shiism is that clear.

Ali (ra) himself never made such an absurd claim!

Not a single classical Tafsir work, let alone Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) himself, has ever made the preposterous claim that Verse 19 of surah Maryam mentions Ali ibn Abi Talib! The entire surah and the context of the verse do not speak at all about Ali ibn Abi Talib or the Ahl al-Bayt but rather about the prophets such as Jesus, Moses, Abraham, etc. (who, unlike Ali ibn Abi Talib, have been explicitly mentioned multiple times in the noble Quran).

Tahrif NOT Tafsir!

Apart from the kufr (worse than that of the Qadiyanis) of the Twelver sect, in the form of extreme glorification where Ali ibn Abi Talib is attributed a higher rank than even major prophets like Ibrahim (peace be upon him), one cannot emphasise enough how absurd the Shia interpretation of verse 19:50 of the Quran is. In reality, one cannot even call what they do tafsir (interpretation/exegesis), as it is nothing short of a distortion (tahrif) of the meaning of the Quran.

Out of sheer desperation (since they otherwise cannot prove their belief in Imamat), they cling to verses where the adjective form of the proper noun (name) of Ali is mentioned and unabashedly claim that it literally refers to Ali ibn Abi Talib in these verses! Ali himself never made such a claim, but the Shia ‘scholars’ seem to be more knowledgeable than the Imam they (falsely) claim to follow.

The zanadiqah (heretics) have deceived the Shia masses with their batini (esoteric) distortions (tahrif) of the Quran, wherein they impose their false beliefs onto the sacred text by attributing blatant fabrications to the Ahl al-Bayt.

May Allah guide us all.
